RWP = Restricted Weight Player

RWP Defined

1. All players that fall below the RWP weight for their division will wear a jersey #1 thru #49.

2. All players over the RWP weight in their division must wear a jersey #50 thru #99.

3. All players that exceeds the max weight in their division will be referred to as an RWP.

4. A non-RWP can wear a jersey larger than #49, however they must comply with all rules governing the RWP.

Playing as an RWP

1. A RWP may play center, guard, or tackle only on offense.

2. A RWP may play nose guard, tackle, or defensive end on defense.

3. All RWP players must start each play in the "down" position and there will be no blitzing by a RWP.

4. A RWP cannot play any other positions.

5. A RWP may punt the ball, kick off, and kick extra points or field goals.

6. A RWP can play any position on kick off and kickoff return, however if a RWP gains possession of the ball under any circumstance, the play will be blown dead immediately.

7. If at any time there is a RWP mismatch caused by formation, play can and will be stopped by the officials.

 

Note:  The 8U will play under the AYF Instructional MM rules and the 10U and 12U teams will play under the HS rules. There will be 4 refs for each division.
